Any Advice...?

Hello again, I have yet another question. Me and my freind are setting up a band. He has a definite passion for guitar. I'm in the process of getting a bass and plan on play it non-stop. One of our friends is playing rhythm guitar and another one of my friends is on drums. The guitatist is decent and the drummer is learning. Another one of my friends is getting a tryout in a few days. We kicked him out and long story short, he's a know-it-all and can't shut up, but he's my friend and now we are giving him a try-out. Any advice for the try-out, how to get gigs/fans, or bass advice (which one to buy 250 or less price range) would be definetly appreciated.:bassist:

1. Have fun, don't become too serious.
2. Past behavior will give you enough clues how your friend with the try-out will behave in future.
3. There's plenty of really good gear, especially used, if you don't fall for the trap of purchasing something just because it is the right brand/type.
