yep, but this was in the DB section, Jamerson is my favorite player of all time but IMO he is mainly known for his electric playing.

Well, if we're talking bassists and bass-playing, I'll (kindly) eschew the solo concert. I want to hear my cat(s) in the band. I'm torn between hearing Wilbur Ware play with Monk, Coltrane and Shadow Wilson at the Five Spot, or hearing Israel Crosby at the Alhambra playing "Poinciana" or "We Kiss In A Shadow" with Ahmad and Vernell. Have to flip a coin, and speaking of flipping, that's what I'd do when my ten minutes were up.
