Hello! My bass's onboard preamp is an FET boost-only circuit. I've tried many compressors over the last few years, and the one that sounds the best with the bass also contains an FET circuit. Is this merely a coincidence? The bass is a Sadowsky NYC Verdine White, and the compressor is an Empress bass compressor. (Yes, I've been told the Sadowsky will sound good alone or with almost any compressor, and that the Empress is a very good compressor.) However, these two together are amazing! Thank you to anyone who answers!
