Any GK service around Dallas tx area?

Any one know of someone that can service my GK700RBII in the Dallas area??? Started hissing about an hour ago, changed cables-guitars-power source-cabinets etc, still a loud hiss. Any ideas for a fix around Dallas plz let me know. Thx for any info.

Try cleaning your effects return jack first with DeoxIT (NO WD-40). Yes even if you don't use it it still maybe "dirty" (actually called fretting of the contacts from the preamp to power amp inside the jack).

Good advice from somebody who knows their way around amps. While you're at it, clean all the pots, jacks, switches, etc. If it doesn't fix it, consider it routine maintenance and let your tech use his brain instead of sweeping the floor so to speak.

Before you go to to the shop with it, try plugging a short patch cable from the send to the return jacks in your effects loop. If there are dirty contacts in there causing noise this will complete the circuit and the noise will stop. If this works you can either leave the patch cable in place and forget it or, as B-String said, you can go in with some deoxit.
Good luck, B.
