Any Helix LT Users?

I just ordered a Helix LT and was wondering if anyone here uses one as apart of their main set-up?

I went from being an electric guitar player with a decent sized board, to playing bass and having a solid little board with some fun pedals. I MAINLY play worship music for our local church and a few other church related things and play direct using IEMs. I need my tone to be very flexible from covering dirty, massive sounding tones to super clean. I recently sold all my pedals and went with a HX Stomp XL to give that a go. I actually like that I can have a few different presets for different styles that I play. Problem was I filled the 8 blocks really fast and was left wanting more.

Curious if anyone here plays with one, and what are some things that I should know moving into one? Whats your favorite settings? Anyone have any favorite 3rd party patches, etc?

Aesthetically, I prefer the look of a board with multiple pedals, but I THINK the flexibility that this offers will be huge with the different basses I play and the different styles as well.

Hi All,

I did start another thread regarding the HX Stomp XL, however after some consideration I have decided to persist with getting myself the Helix LT as I think the extended functionality will be worth it. Made another thread but didn’t get any responses to it, so thought I’d bring the questions here. Watched a few videos but wanted to get some first hand TB user responses!

Just had a couple of questions, which i'm hoping anyone with some first hand experience could answer or offer any words of advice.

1. We are currently in the process of moving home, so right now I am in a small corner of a one bedroom flat (apartment, i'm from the UK ha!). Therefore space is minimal. I only use a small Ampeg Rocket 1x8 combo amp to practice through. I plan to use the amp sims within the Helix for different songs/styles/drive tones. Would plugging into the front end of the rocket combo (with eq set to flat) defeat the purpose, or still a viable option?

2. I have a small home studio/multimedia set up with some inexpensive Presonus Eris 3.5BT speakers and an extension 8 sub also by Presonus. Would it be more beneficial going directly out of the Helix LT into my small mixer, that is connected to the speakers/sub? this will only be for home use and practicing and relatively low volumes. Would the difference between this or plugging into the small combo amp be negligible anyway?

3. I plan on using the Helix to record directly into Logic. Instead of reamping the clean DI track through the Helix, can you effectively get the same results by using a saved preset in the Helix native plugin, instead of reamping through the LT?

any help would be massively appreciated!
