Went for spin yesterday - my usual 10-15 mile trail.. Crashed HARD on a Little bridge. Not sure how, but after manualing over a curb-sized lip, the rear end launched me over the bars- I took it all on the face. Pics later- cant do it via iPad. Rung my bell- was watching for signs of concussion

Nice.

Right now I'm mountain bike in minus 10 degrees Celsius. The benefit of it is that with so much ice you usually doesn't get scraped if you fall!

I was actually rather bummed that no one witnessed the crash.
The face has healed up nicely- a dollop of natural petroleum jelly(left over from kids' diaper days)after showers, when the abrasion is wet & I am babybuttfaceman.

Here we had 1 meter (yes , 100 cm! ) of snow this week , so no bike for now.

Waiting for the snowmobiles to pack it up !

Before college started kicking my butt I raced a lot. My last racing season I won two Expert 19-29 races here in the south east.
I dont have a bunch of time to ride anymore but I do when I can.

I'm doing a fam vacation thing in Tahoe- I have vowed to come back and do the shuttle thing w/my 13-yr-old son come warmer weather. Anybody w/firsthand exp, please chime in. I'm wanting to either rent him a good DH rig(tricky maybe- he is *compact* his MTB is a 15")& use my Gemini, or get us both rental bikes, depending on available options.
