any neck injuries out there?

i have had several issues in my neck from injuries from sport. I have an entrapped nerve going down my shoulder...its not to bad now and i have kept it under control by excercise and stretching, there is a disc pushing into the nerve, add to that a facet joint that grinding bone on bone which i can put up with but kills me if its been rubbing while i sleep the next morning i wake up like a million hangovers.....i have had injections in the facet, yeh last a few weeks and back to the same. I dont want to go spinal fusions due to future issues i have read about above and below the fusion and my discs seem ok, i know there are now replacement titanium discs too....i have had top expert advice from a couple of neuro surgs and they both say to hang in there without an op. I have had numurous scans to so i know whats wrong in there....multple issues


Anyone here gone under the knife for spinal surgery? did it go well?

My neck is always a twisted bed of nerves. At least 2 days out of the week I'll have a sore neck & or shoulder. Thats why I have a medical marijuana prescription.

My wife tried to shove my head through the ceiling w/her thing one night. A chiro visit fixed me up next morning. I try not to do what I was doing at the time so good after that.

I have a serious whiplash injury from being rear ended several years ago, got screwed by the insurance company so had to pay for all the exams and therapy out of pocket. I get regular migraine headaches because of the injury. Occasionally I have numbness in my hands so I have to be careful to use a well padded strap.
Exercise and therapy have helped greatly but there are still bad days. I agree that surgery should be the last resort as the dangers and side effects are serious.
