Any bass players aged 18 - 23 interested in joining an Oakville Pop/Rock band with an incredible opportunity to work with A & R worldwide to develop and promote our music. If you are interested or know someone who might be send me an e-mail

Scarborough/Pickering boarder... about a 3 wood or driver away from the Yorkie plant...
Originally from London, moved to T.O. in the late 80's and have been stuck here ever since... would LOVE to move to Peterborough, if for no othe reason than to be mortgage free and have my boat tied up at MY dock, at the end of my yard!
Heck, one can dream, can't they!

North TO.

I organized (with JPrinos) 2 TO bassist GTG last year (and the year before), nice turn out at Cherry Street. Met FHJoe and a few others from here.

The last GTG helped me link up with a great guitar player and now we jam regularly about once a month (to Prog and Rush stuff) with a drummer.

Just north of TO

If we 're really thinking about a GTG, we need to put a date in stone and have everybody just deal. None of this 'Can you move...?" crap
The rehearsal Factory has some cool spots for rent, and a few locations to boot. I'll post for a Ont. GTG for say Sat Oct 15th.
I'll move forward with the relevant info, pending enough confirmations, somewhere around the first of Oct.
Keep this thing bumped up so everyone has a chance to see it....

:D

I'm in. Oct 15 is only 4 Saturdays away. Is there a location you have in mind?

Downtown Toronto.

I'd come to the GTG. The Cherry Street rehearsal space, compared to Geary, is probably the more convenient location. The last couple of GTGs (organized by the_hook and JPrinos) have been tons of fun. It's a good chance to hangout, play, and ... ummm ... talk bass.

We had a solid variety of basses and amp/cab combinations last time ... I'll bring a Fearful 15/6/1 bass cab powered by a Crown XLS1500 poweramp and a Presonus Eureka Channel Strip.

I would be able to bring the new Acoustic USA 360/361 and 360/361m if anyone was interested (as well as an original 360/361). I also have some interesting vintage basses.
Perhaps I could get a lead on a mature drummer.....

If people can agree on a date then I can book a room at Cherry St (by the Lake downtown).

It's $60 for 3 hours, which is what we did the last two times, booking 2pm-5pm.

If everyone that shows up can pitch in to help cover the cost (more people, less to pay) we can have ourselves a good GTG. Bring any gear you want to talk about, show off, or even sell or trade.

Some dates we could look at:

Saturday, October 22
Saturday, October 29

Is this going to happen?
