Am I resurrecting this thread? 
just want to post a recent purchase of an old Slammer CP4 bass really dirty/rusty and w/flimsy pots. It sounded great when I plugged it in, nice full tone and growl as far as i can tell. I dismantled it last night to clean it only to find out it was laminated/plywood bass ---heres some pics still going to clean this bass out w/n the weekend and possibly make some changes to make this bass awesome...
and heres the exposed neck pocket w/all its plywood glory
