Any small combo amps with send/return loops?

I'm hiding my normal rig away at the moment. We're putting our house up for sale and a big old bass rig isn't going to aid that process.

I want to get something I can just stick under my desk and pull out when I need it. Ideally though, it needs to have a send/return loop so I can use my effects properly.

I was thinking about the Fender Rumble 15, which I can get for £76, but it doesn't have the loop.

Any ideas? I'm going for cheap here! I don't know whether this is remotely achievable!

When you say “use your effects properly” you do understand that the effects loop is for line level effects, right?
Pedals are instrument level and should go between your bass and amp input.

I'm running a Helix for tone modelling. On my normal amp head it works best run through the effects loop. Excuse my ignorance as it's the first time I've set up this arrangement.

No worries, the Helix is probably a bit more upscale than pedals.
As far as the combo goes, Andertons isn’t showing anything inexpensive with an effects loop.
Thomann has the Harley Benton HB-80B, which is the lowest cost combo with effects loop.

Thanks for that. I think that puts it out of my reach to be honest. If that's the cheapest/smallest one then I'll probably just have to use the Helix as a pedal for now. Not a bad thing I suppose!

One of my friends has just started working at Andertons, so I'm hoping he'll be able to get me a discount.

It looks like the Orange Crush Bass 50 has effects loop.

Thank you!

I’m seeing how I get along with my Helix at the moment. It’s connected to my computer, which is convenient. But one thing I definitely don’t like is that when I’m playing along to tracks, the tracks and my bass are coming out of the same speakers and so it’s quite difficult to differentiate between the two.

TBH, if you're using effects, & have an EQ in there, just get a power-amp!

It's more about space at the moment. I've got a Peavey Headliner 1000W amp and a Rumble 210 cab, but they take up a lot of space. I was thinking of putting something under my desk, but I've concluded it's not worth the money for now. I can play through the Helix alright.
