Seems every country has their own way of doing smokeless tobacco.
Americans have moist dip and chew (America and Canada are some of the only countries I know of that have people who use them)
The English have powdered snuff that you rub on your gums or snort.
The Nepalese have the stuff you talked about.
The Swedish have snus, and it's VERY strong. I used to have some Odin's snus from Sweden that was insanely potent. I think it had something like 18mg of nicotine per 1 gram of tobacco. It's also pretty much totally absent of all TSNA's. Very safe.
That's the stuff I started on. It's nice because it's very clean and inconspicuous.
Only problem is that American snus is all but nonexistent. There isn't a lot to choose from, which is a shame really.
