Any users of the CPAP

If yes, I stumbled across this and I love the concept and almost wanted it till I dug further. From what I read it will only last 8 hours and after that it is to be disposed at $3.00 a pop which is the amount of sleep that many people get. On top of it that is $3.00 a day times 365 days which equals to $1095 before taxes. Also, think about how much waste would come of something like that?

I hope I read it wrong for I would love to convert to that but if I did read it right not willing to do that.

Also thinking about trying other masks but would love to discuss this with others that use a CPAP machine.

I use a CPAP, but I have no idea what you're talking about that gets disposed daily - nothing on my setup does - except in the winter, I have to add water daily for the humidifier.

Ahh, yeah, I see the link - I saw those when they were announced - not terribly impressed, I'll keep my mask, hose, and box setup, thanks. Unless / until they make the thing completely reusable, it's just not viable.

But it does look a bit more comfortable but I will wait at least a year to see how the technology goes. In the meantime, have you tried different makes and what not? I love my machine and what not, but thinking of switching from full face to the less covered ones.

I've tried a few different masks, currently using a small "nasal canula" type. I think I prefer more of a full face (covering the mouth) though, but that one fell apart.

Nope, I just clean everything regularly. My previous facemask lasted about 5 years.

That is what I was expecting from that product. Again I might be reading it wrong and they are still in the developing stages and much like Operating Systems, I am not quick to jump on the bandwagon. For instance I own/use an IPhone 5S. I am not one of these people that is going to jump right into gettin a version 7. I am going to wait to see what happens first.

Yeah, the nose-only ones wouldn't work for me. I use a nose + mouth mask too. Interestingly I also grind my teeth, but am a mouth breather too. When my CTS flairs up, I wear my arm braces to bed too. Gee, I wonder why my wife won't spoon with me.

I use an APAP. It adjusts to the pressure you need at that exact moment. Goes between 5 and 20 PSI. It usually starts me out at 6.5 and over the last 30 days I've sat around 9.3-9.5 while asleep. Also has much more fine humidity controls and heated tubing to prevent condensation, as well as keeping track of your pressures, periodic breathing, AHI, mask fit, etc over 30 days. It's a Phillips Respironics Dreamstation, with an Amara floating mask. I can't recommend it enough.
