Any word from Fret Nation lately?

I know Jason from Fret Nation had to stop posting at TalkBass (though I don't know why—please PM me if you do). This isn't about that.

I've done business with Fret Nation regularly over the past few years, mostly since the exit from actively participating here, and always found Jason very responsive in that time. I replied to a (probably automated) email about a minor issue with a delivery over two weeks ago, forwarded it directly to Jason a few days ago, and still haven't heard anything. I don't see anything unusual on the Fret Nation website. Does anyone know if everything's okay there?

Jason was at the NAMM show recently and that is likely why you have not heard from him. He typically gets back to me within 24 hours if I message him on Facebook. Have you tried messaging him there?

I just ordered some strings around mid Dec and Jason messaged me a couple times with updates and they've been delivered since.

Not sure what strings you ordered, but when I've ordered ONLY GHS strings, he'll sometimes have them drop shipped from GHS and I've had a couple issues there. In those cases, Jason was helpful in resolving issues.

Thanks, everyone. The NAMM explanation makes sense. I'd have appreciated a note on the website, but I know it's a small operation. I might see about reaching out via facebook messenger, but my situation probably won't get sorted until Jason gets back from NAMM anyway. It's not so urgent as it could have been—good job keeping enough strings on hand ahead of time, me!

This was possibly the most unfortunately timed order I originally ordered in early December, but because one of the strings I get is made-to-order by D'Addario (medium scale .100 NPS round), and I routinely have Jason hold off on shipping until that one arrives, I didn't expect it right away. It seems that this one took longer than usual on D'Addario's end, which then pushed everything into the holiday season, which now has run into NAMM. Oh, well. I won't burn through these specialty strings quite so quickly now that my band has expanded to a trio and I don't have to play an amalgamation of all the stringed parts at every practice and show on this

Oh, I have and we did get irritated with each other about it once long ago. Probably around NAMM time obviously we got past it.

Bigger companies will have folks at home to communicate with customers. Small companies, the shop will be empty. Fret Nation is a small shop.

I bought a bass from him yesterday. His shop is in my neighborhood. He mentioned he's been at NAMM.
