Double Bass Anybody has experience with Toob speakers?

Recently I saw Greg Ruggiero in NYC playing his guitar with an amazing little speaker, I asked him about it and he told me about Toob speakers, a Finnish company that specializes in portable small speakers for guitar and bass TOOB
I contacted them and the owner answered very kindly to all my questions and told me that many jazz double bass players use his products. The weight is ridiculous: 4,6kg for the 12B (12 speaker)and 2kg for their Metro Series model (6.5 speaker). Nobody on Talkbass has some experience with Toob speakers with double bass?

I use a metro 6.5bg+ and have tried it with several amp heads if you are still interested in hearing. I think it is a very natural sounding cabinet (using the right amp head) and surprisingly small and light. I don’t write more as I see this thread is from more than 2 years ago but I am happy to share more of there still is some interest

I bought a Toob. Metro BG is the model I think. A guitar player who was soon leaving the country asked me if I wanted to but it so he wouldn't need to fly with it. He let me have it at a very low cost. It's sounds pretty good but I have only used it in my home so far. I have a very nice Phil Jones Bass Cub 120 Pro and my old faithful Polytones that have gone to gigs. I keep waiting for the right venue and situation to try to Toob with. I have an old AI Clarus I pair it with. It's sound? Very clean and "dry" at the volumes I have tried so far. It produces lows. Not lots but probably enough for a low volume upright gig with no drummer or at least a very well behaved one. It weighs nothing! My little Clarus head actually feels heavier. I don't have the "Upshot" type frame stand device. Mine came with a wire frame thing that points the speaker up at an angle. I don't really have much else to say about it and. It's cute and likely useful in the right situation. If I didn't already have my Phil Jones I would have probably taken the Toob to try at a gig by now. I guess at some point I will and offer a report.

The Phil Jones Bass Cub 120 Pro is louder and fatter sounding. I won't knock the Toob but for anything more than a quiet coffee house type of venue PJB would be my choice. I could see using the Toob when my unampped sound is almost enough and I'd want just a bit more volume. Maybe useful as a personal monitor at ear level if there is a PA in place. The low end the Toob makes is far less than what the PJB offers. Honestly, I have a soft spot for my old AI Clarus and I might be heaping praise on the Toob if I didn't have the PJB to compare it to. It's nice to have a small and light alternative to the Contra EX that I've paired my Clarus with for years. The Toob is a lot smaller and lighter than the Contra. But it doesn't really get the air moving like the Contra or even the pint sized Bass Cub does.

I honestly don`t want so much bass with the upright bass so it is fine by me. I feel that when I switch to the Barfaced one10 I get more bass but a slightly less natural sound. It`d be interesting to try the Toob 12b as it is supposedly a very good option if not the best for people looking for an acoustic sound

A 12 inch speaker in their configuration might be quite nice. I only know what the smaller 6.5 inch sounds like. Again without proper real world testing, it could be useful. It sounds nice, neutral and clean. But it still feels like it needs a bit more booty!
