ANYBODY KNOW A GOOD WAY TO MAKE CASH???

1. Get a nice, well-used piece of cardboard. It is best if you can tear the top off a pizza box.

2. With a Sharpie marker, in your non-dominant hand (if you are right-handed, use your left hand), write an appeal to people's altruistic senses. Make sure to include "God Bless" at the bottom. Other text might include "Any thing is a blessing", "I haven't eaten in 3 days" (this one is helped if you are very skinny)

3. Wear your dirtiest clothing & don't shave for a while.

4. Stand on a corner and leer at people while shaking a McDonalds cup at them (empty).

5. If you made your sign right, and have your leering down just right, you might get a quarter or two.

With all these steps, you should see my detailed list of steps to acquire lots of money!

Assuming you already have a job right now, do little odds and ends.

I know a lot of guys with snowblowers who've been cashing in on the snowfall here in Canada. If your back is strong, grab a shovel and take to the streets. If you don't have snow where you are, paint fences, head over to a local warehouse and ask if there's oddjobs that need to be done, take out a huge insurance policy on your vehicle and take a bat to it.

The world is your oyster.

For immediate cash? Apart from theft, selling drugs or prostitution... hold a yard sale or sell stuff on CL, offer to mow lawns or shovel snow out of driveways, go to a temp agency for a quick temporary job. Borrow from your rich uncle.

Another idea, if you have an instrument and a reasonably clean-cut, family-friendly persona: learn an hour's worth of children's music and market yourself to local libraries. That's not immediate, this-week money, they'll want to schedule a couple months in advance, but it can pay at least as well per gig as playing a bar circuit and is a lot less time consuming.

Craigslist IME was a total bust, applied for a dishwashing job and was told they were looking for someone with at least 2 YEARS EXPERIENCE!!!!AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!! Its tough out there, seems like the only way to get a job now-a-days is to have some kind of in, so I'd start talking to friends and family. Thats what I did and I am now waiting to hear back from a potential employer who had nothing posted anywhere but have seemed very interested in hiring me after 2 interviews, and I give all credit to the friend who works there who put in a word for me. *note* I'd been looking furiously for 4 months with no luck with any online site, not a single call back. good luck!

That might work better than expected, actually :)

I remember that, some time ago, I was just about to give some change to someone which appeared to be a bum, lookin' miserable and dressed in rags and all that. Then, much to my surprise, I noticed he was sportin' an iPod, listening to bloody music :)
Back then, I couldn't even afford a damn used walkman, not mentioning an iPod, so I passed by :)

Do you guys have those pharmaceutical tests places in the States ?!? I used to go there 2 or 3 times when I was dead broke as a student. You basically spend the weekend there (depending on the study), make a couple hundred bucks, get free drugs (if you choose your study well :D) and if you're even luckier, you know, being locked down for days with random strangers, you could make an interesting encounter ...

That reminds me of outback steakhouse. Never once have I been there and not had horrible service, yet if you apply there it requires 3 years (verifiable) experience as a waiter/waitress to get the job.

And for the record I do not go there by choice, I have a girlfriend.

Post a craigslist or newspaper ad for general labor. Assuming you have a strong back, there are tons of people that don't have time or physically can't do things such as rake leaves but don't know anyone to ask.

Good idea, but also print up a bunch of flyers to stick in mailboxes of wealthy neighborhoods. If a landfill is close, also add junk/trash removal. Snow shoveling. Whatever you can handle that requires lots of physical activity and time.

I'd pay 10 bucks an hour to get some stuff done around my house for a couple days. Just because I have two kids under 5, work full time, my wife works part time, and I play on weekends. Downtime is almost non-existent.

The key is, I don't know anyone.
