More specifically, the little animated sqiggles, morphing into characters, and such, which were cute and novel for about 15 minutes, and now being run into the ground by all the sheeple climing onto the bandwagon. It’s become an annoying cliche along the lines(in broadcast production)as the side shot of someone being interviewed, the quick cut to the talking head staring off into space, as done to death on Carson Daly. Was that supposed to be edgy, fly on the wall? It might have been the first month, but after that, it was just tired. Similarly, all the cop shows, from NYPD Blue to L&O, where the camera jerks around like you’re viewing the scene sneaking around behind a desk. Then, way back in the prehistoric days of early MTV, there was this thing of an extremely short segment of motion being repeated rapidly 3-5 times, somewhat like a strobe. You’d see it in a lot of videos, just what the hell was that all about? I realize they were just figuring things out to make it visually interest, but it always looked like a cheap effect, and done a few too many times, was just lame. This was done way before the digital glitching on Max Headroom. Isn’t there supposed to be some creativity here?

I have no idea what Tik Tok is......

Tiktok is a phone app, not sure if there's a desktop version of it - but it's for shorter format videos - including stuff like dance, lip-sync, comedy, and not-lip-synced music (or just, music I guess). Really big with younger folks to my knowledge, I live in a tiny as heck town and I've seen kids doing stuff and recording it on their phones in public places. When I say kids I don't mean early twenties, I mean like early to mid teens dancing at a table in the gas station McDonald's as I was getting a burger after being in the field for a while. I kinda had to ask what they were doing and they mentioned tiktok. I knew then, and now you know.

TikTok is to YouTube as Twitter is to Facebook. And I don't do Twitter...

I only heard of TikTok because it became some kind of international trade dispute thing anyway.

Perfectly put and a plus one for me.

Does it count if you were never into TikTok in the first place?

Wow, and I thought that some TikTok defender was going to call me out for being an out of it old man:D, but seriously, like Eminem, I just don’t give a...well, you know. But it’s poised to take over and ruin the world like Twitter did. You or your band have a Facebook page or Youtube channel? Right now it may be the domain of 14 year old girls, but rightly or wrongly it’s going to shape the aesthetics of the future, will probably be the next step past the other two platforms, and to dismiss it would be like saying, “why do I need this Facebook thing when I already have a My Space page?” Even for me to notice TT’s influence creeping in when I’m apathetic about it all says something. But it also indicates another trend of mass mindlessness. Just sayin’...
On a side note, where do I go to get a degree in Influencing? Seems like great job, but I want the proper training. Is it a two year or four year program? Graduate level courses?

Hmm..... With your analogy I'm having flashbacks to 9th grade algebra and the truth tables they tried ramming down my throat..... P and Q, if P is something to Q than Q can't be something else to P....... 35 something years later and I still don't get it.
