Anyone else have trouble with Touch ID?

I've noticed that I frequently have to update my fingerprint cans for my touch ID to work, then after the weeks where I've been on at church, the scanner doesn't recognize my finger tips again and I have to update it again. I'm sure it's related to calluses, but I wonder if this is an issue that other bassist experience, and that I'd think it would specific to bass players.

Anyone else?

This ^ ensures no problems. Been using my thumb for years. My son even uses his big toe and/or his nose. Kids....

I don't use it, but on the iPhone for example, I know you can use up to four different finger prints. I've read that if you scan each thumb twice than it's more likely to work every time.

It's also more ergonomic to use your thumb, particularly the hand you use to hold the phone. You can pick up the phone, depress the home button, which turns on your phone and scans your thumb simultaneously. If you use your fingers for the scan, you would need two hands, one to hold the phone and the other needed for the scan.

I agree, I do primarily use my thumb, but there are occasions where it's more convenient to use a finger (when my phone is mounted in my car, for example).

Regardless, I was more curious to see if others had experienced this, rather than advice about the situation.
