The double bass only ruined me for bass guitars that don't have a solid carved top. Like this work in progress.

Upright's at the shop since Friday, some observations:
Bass guitar is not the same instrument. I can't believe how hard it is to play: I didn't remember it being so difficult to play cleanly.
Bass guitar is so heavy, I have to sit.
I don't really feel like playing it the way I do with the upright. My practice time has dipped considerably. I want the upright back.
I won't sell it but I am in no rush to get electric gigs.
