I'm in! I still have a skateboard. This is the only photo I have of me skateboarding Christmas day 2004. So lame but not bad for approx 40 yrs old back then.

I used to skate everyday back in my high school days, but one day I broke my board and it was either get a new board or get my first bass. Guess which one I chose? Lol.

Last summer I finally built myself a brand new board, but from a mix of not knowing any skaters, living in a very rural area, and frankly getting winded after just a handfull of ollies, I haven't put enough time on my board as I would like. I've recently started working out including a hearty amount of cardio though, so I plan on going at it some more in the coming months as it's a pretty killer workout in and of itself.

I've never had any aspiration to go pro or anything, but there's just something about even simply kicking down the sidewalk that always seemed to put my soul at ease.

Also, my absolute favorite skate video ever. Not the biggest bangers in the world, but always manages to get me in the mood to go skate.

Wish I still had my vhs copy, YouTube quality on this sucks. Kinda makes me sad thinking of all the great vids that will never see a DVD/hq digital release...

Mandown!!!!!!! Being from northern california those dudes were my heroes! They skate my high school in all their videos! Mandown is definitely an alltime fav! Have you watched bag of suck?

Nice! Whereabouts in California? I'm a former Santa Rosan myself where Tony Trujillo was the big hometown hero. It was actually one of his Anti-Hero decks that ended up being my last for years after I decided to go the bass route.

Don't think I've seen Bag of Suck, but it's been a long time. Man down just had an extra special place as it was one of the few vids I personally owned, and I watched that vid religiously. Hell, I've probably posted this track from Colt Cannons part 20 times here on TB.

Tony T is still killing it too. He is also the bassist and singer for a skate rock band called "Bad poopie" his wife plays drums and Jake Phelps plays guitar. One of my friends here from Athens took a job with Deluxe a few years ago as a graphic designer, he loves it out there. Anti Hero is "the crew" Cardiel, Stranger, Grosso, GT, Tony T, T Mo, Peter Hewitt and the list goes on and on. All heavy hitters

I actually ended up becoming buddies with a member of Tonys' first band, USSR (United Scumbags of Santa Rosa). He had some pretty cool stories about kickin it with the AH guys and being there when Tony got SOTY back in 01. They even got a track on a Tony Hawk game. Pretty sure Tony was on bass and vocals, and it was definitely more in the metal category.

Gotta include a plug for my buddies current band too, as they're badass af also.

I used to by breaking a wrist and having two operation fixed that.
Yikes! Ive been extrordinarily lucky, broke my pinky once but thats the worste of it for my hands. Ive had more rolled ankles than i can count tho, my left ankle tendons were shot until i got an accupuncturast to do some PT with me, she ended up having to break apart the accumulated scar tissue on my tendons to get me back to having a fully usable ankle, that was more painful than any injury i have sustained!
