Anyone ever use Carvin TRx118N subs & DCM3800L?

Just purchased (2) of the Carvin TRx118N subs (800w RMS @ 8 ohms) and Carvin DCM3800L power amp (3800w RMS @ 4 ohms bridged) for our "small/medium club" low-end system.
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with either. We're going to give them a shot Friday but was hoping to get some input before then.

I wouldn't run that amp bridged into those cabinets without using proper limiting/DSP.
The safest way without limiting would be to run the amp stereo (1-cab per channel) which would be powering those cabs right at there RMS limit.
If that doesnt provide enough bottom end for your needs you will need more/better/bigger subs...

I was looking for a pair of TRX118N, to try, I have the FH1801 , awesome horn, Love the carvin bins.

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to state that I have been using the DCM3800L and two TRX118N subs for over a year now with my bands. They have done great! The DCM3000L is a better match per spec, but Carvin assured me the DCM3800L was fine and I haven't had any issues.

It sucks that they stopped making the TRX118N... I want to get another pair to extend my bass for outdoor events. I am now considering whether to get a DCM3800L and two of the new TRX2118 woofers, or try another brand. The QSC 118 powered woofers are interesting to me...
