Anyone have a Low End bass?

They are superb instruments, & Brian really is spectacular with everything he does. Great guy to do business with & he goes way above & beyond to please his customers. I have a Modulus Quantum 5, Roscoe lg 3005,
& have owned Brubaker, Fibenare, Warrior, Status Graphite & many other similar basses & Brians’s Lowend basses are right in the mix with them & I actually prefer his preamp over anything out there, even the Mike Pope preamp. His lowend pre with Ulyate pickups are an amazing combination!

Maybe i am wrong , but don't see or hear of this brand for my 22 year carrier, and most of the talk bass doesn't. If you like it and sounds great and the price is normal to you, take it and use it a lot.

Don't let your ignorance make a fool of you. Low End are very well known and have a long history on talkbass, with many happy customers. They are absolutely a market leader in ERB jazz basses.

Afc70, that this is GORGEOUS! I'm excited to see yours and hear how happy you are. I've been a fan of Brian's work for years, and am hoping to receive my completely custom build within the next month or two. Way different than yours, but still a J5. I'll be posting up like a proud papa when I take possession!

Thanks, I really love my Lej! Congrats! Brian’s builds are great, preamp is great.. love the clarity, & it packs a punch. Really love how it pairs up with Howard Ulyate’s amazing pickups. I’m sure you’ll enjoy your Lej!

I know the OP has chosen not to buy the LEJ but I wanted to come in a give my two cents. (I am not Brian nor am I sponsored by him in ANY way)

1. No, Brian's website is not the latest and greatest but it is getting the job done. His basses and the other basses that he carries (new and used) are AMAZING! Not your regular old mom and pop shop that carries the same stuff as GC or Sam Ash. If you are ever in Nashville, check out his shop. You will not be disappointed... unless you are just that difficult to please lol. Also, find him and his shop on Facebook. He responds pretty fast and is a good guy to work with.

2. I currently own two of his basses (about to get one in the mail today actually) and they are AMAZING! The awesome part about buying a bass from his shop is that you are able to A/B a TON of different brands and qualities of basses vs his. Brian is not pushy about you buying his bass vs another brand either.

Anyway, please don't count him out because someone doesn't sell his stuff or hasn't heard of the brand. I haven't heard of his brand or Chris' before last year yet I am super happy I have now haha. Put you hands on one of his basses and then decide whether you like it or not. Again, check out his Facebook and give him a shout!
