Anyone have completely crazy junk basses?

I have a bass/guitar hybrid named Fred. It is comprised of around 9 different guitars and basses.
I'm wondering if anyone else has things along the same lines or if im the only stupid teenager to build something like this. Pics will be posted when I can figure out how... :(

Btw, just to clear up, this is not a guitar, it is tuned ADGEAD

Your hammer/chisel technique is much better than mine :D

It was originally chisel...routed for a J pickup, but then I threw a P in there and disliked it. Now it's MM and I absolutely love it! I'm sure over time I'll do some more crap to this bass. The pickguard is Gorilla Glue'd on near the jack because the screw holes there really just go into the cavity -- the guard doesn't fit exactly right.

haha, you can't see what it looks like under the pickguard, perhaps I should pop that bad boy off?

As for sound clips, I use it exclusively for gigging and recording in the band I'm in. You can check us out here
We have a song posted at the moment, but I'm a bit far back in the mix. That's just a rough mix form a while ago, they've fixed it since. I'll post a couple more where I'm a bit more present.

I also tried my hand at a DIY, it actually came out good where I was able to play it as a backup bass ( which was necessary in those days )...lol
It started out as a Sears Silvertone dumpster bass with dead electronics and a bad neck, and back then I was a poor kid and found some guitar pickups and a freebee neck and just made them work :)

intonation and a tight neck pocket? what does that mean? well back then I had no clue and although you cant see them in this pic, I have the neck shimmed in the pocket with nuts :D

kept the thing around for 20 years, and when I moved, gave it to a kid who wanted the pickups, and he threw the rest in the dumpster :eek: ( It went full circle )

I can see Fred being reclaimed by the parts pile at somepoint. Hopefully not for a while though.
