What's it like there music wise? Do people come out for original music? Is it competitive? Is there a good/accepting community of various kinds of music?

Any info at all regarding the music culture/scene is welcome and appreciated

I live in Lacey. When I cruise through downtown Olympia, it looks like the same tired music scene that has been down there since the 90's.

Can you speak at all for any of the other larger cities in that part of the US?

And when you say "same tired scene" can you specify as to the kind of music? Is everyone still living on grunge or something?
