I'm looking to possibly purchase a Midas M32 mixer and was wondering if anyone here has any real, hands-on experience with one in either home recording, a live situation, or both? What is your impression so far? Also, what kind of computer and software do you run the mixer through? Thanks!

I've used one, and I own an X32 and X32 rack. The M32 definitely sounds a little better and feels overall more pro than the X32. The faders are smoother. Buttons and knobs are an upgrade. The more upright screen orientation on the M32 is also a nice upgrade.

I've used the X32 extensively for live event production, and it's feature set is un-matched for under $5K. If the X32 appeals to you then the M32 will be the icing on the cake.
