anyone play a rig bigger than you are?

No pictures of the entire thing live with me in front of it, but here's part of it with me about 2 feet away from it where I place all my pedals.

Something like 3 feet tall and 8 feet wide and around 600 something pounds I believe. So, bigger than me in every way except height.

its like when you pull out 12" of limp business...The chick is all like "and just where do you think your gonna put that?! Not in here..."

A dolly that was about 5 inches off the ground
A Peavey 1820 cabinet
A Peavey 115 cabinet
A Peavey Mark VI head.. making the stack over 6 feet tall. I'm 5'8"... But my hair back in the day added an extra 5 or 6 inches to me.. So I was about the same height with the teased hair.

Man am i glad those days are over........I remember one club arguing with a band about a girl they were trying to get in with them before the show, and the bandleader shouting "dude, she's makeup and hair!!! we need her!!!"

If I had to go by cubic ft, my rig is bigger than I am, though I weigh more than my rig.

Either way, it's pretty close.

I used to, back in the late 70's/early 80's when nobody knew any better... Had an old Peavey 400 series head, the 2-15 that went with it, and an EVM18 in the huge ol' box EV designed for it. Had a 74 AMC Gremlin w/a roof rack. The Peavey fit in the back w/the seat folded down, the 18 rode on the roof (I loaded/unloaded that sucker myself, too!) At the gig (against what is now conventional wisdom) the 18 was on the opposite side of the stage. The guitarists wanted to hear me, and one had a small combo amp, so he just set his amp on top of it. Back in those days PA was vocal-only... Like I said we didn't know any better....

I don't get it. Those cabs are what, 30" or so wide? That makes about 5' tall. The head maybe another 8"-10". So that means you're what, about 5'5"?

I've yet to use a reasonable rig that is taller than me. The 400+ on top of the 810 earlier isn't close either. What's with the short bassists ?

yeah... but the potential is there!
you try to stack these on top of each other vertically... you would need a crane!
