Anyone rate DR Bass strings? Coated / Neon

I Run flats on my jazz. I use Chromes but Labellas would be fine too.

I have been playing DR Neons and think they are spectacular! I have them on my 99 Warrior 4. They have their own unique sound. Last night, while running my finger from the E string 3rd fret to the 15th fret at a fast rate, it burned my finger to the point of it having a tiny blister. Has anyone experienced this? I do feel like they definitely warm the finger up faster than regular strings.

The DR coated strings all have the same problem with the coating flaking off. If I use a pick it gets ripped up quickly otherwise they start to flake where the string hits the fret.
Also the rope burn effect.
