Anyone try Walkabout 12 and 15 stack? Didn't find much in my review of the monster megathread. I'm awating a WA head and doubt the 4 Ohm 15 will always be enough for me. Wondering about 2 12s but have already ordered a 15 and may not be able to change it at this point (due to custom color) . In that case I might add a 12 but would like to know if they'll phase cancel. I could also opt for a 4 Ohm 15 and an 8 Ohm 12 or both at 8 Ohms. Any real-life experience or fanciful conjecture appreciated.

I have used my little mesa head with 2-410 cabs 4ohms is recommened to get the 300w out of it. But a 6ohm load will work fine as well.
Thanks RickenB-I had a feeling it'd be fine but better to suss it out before putting down the dead presidents. I'll try to opt for the pair of 12s but will accept 12/15 (both 8 Ohms) if I have to.
Basspro-Not sure where 6 Ohms fits in, but I have no concerns about the impedance as there are plenty of real world testimonials around here that the head is fine even below it's rated 4 Ohms.

yes, I have a WA 12 combo (4ohm) and a Scout 15 (4ohm). I have used this rig on about 20% of my gigs over the past 2 years where I need more volume and overall coverage.
I am very happy with the WA stand alone, and use it this way most of the time. But, no matter how nice an amp it is, it's still only a 1x12 after all. When I stack these two I am running the WA at 2ohms and getting about 500w into two well matched 4ohm cabs. The added flexibility of the dual "player control network" is pretty nice on this rig too. I set the 12 to a 4k or 3k crossover, and run the 15 at 5k. Tweet on the 12 is nudged just a bit, tweet on the 15 is rolled off just a bit.
Great, Big, updated Old-School tone with my Fender/Lakland/Lull 4's.

Having said all that ... let me also say that I recently picked up an Accugroove Tri115 and it has started to take the place of the Scout 15 more frequently when I need the bigger sound. It's a great combination, with the WA 12. the Tri115 really fills out a full range of freq's (bigger cab, dedicated mid driver, sweet soft dome tweets), where the Scout does the full low end and low mids, but not as much of the mid presence as the Tri115. Downside is that there is an ohms mis-match with the Tri115 .. it's 8ohms vs the WA 4ohms, so I am not getting balanced power application to both cabs. Ahh well, there is always something to work out, isn't there ?

I have paired a Bergantino HT115 and Genz Benz NeoX-112T for a gorgeous tone. Phase cancellation? Sometimes we worry too much.
I agree some of us (like me) needlessly obsess about this stuff, but a pair of poorly matched cabs that phase cancel can be a disaster, even to the uninitiated ear......ooops, where did the bass go? I've used Epi 115/112 cabs together that sounded great, but it's always best to hear from someone who has done the experiment in the real world.
