Anyone try Fender flats on a Fallout??

Love my new tribute Fallout, but the stock strings are a bit too "zingy". I just played Fender flats on a P and LOVED them. Wondering if anyone has tried them on a Fallout. I don't see that Fenders have a short scale set, but I know some long scale flats can work (and many don't). Any experiences?

Thanks. I'm likely gonna go that route, as that's pretty much exactly what I'm looking for. Only slight hesitation is I've used La Bella a ton, and wanted to try something new. Maybe I'll just try the Fenders on my P when it needs new strings........ya know, in another decade or so!

Why don't you try the Dunlop Flats, which would fall somewhere between Fender and La Bella in terms of their tonal character. They do come in all sizes - "long scale" (37.25" ball to silk), "medium scale" (34" ball to silk) and "short scale" (32" ball to silk).
