Anyone used Dark Horse Strings ?

I just purchased a set. Good price compared with other strings, normally i use D'Addario, but willing to try something else if it will save me some coin in the future.
I will comment on my experience one i have them on.

I Said i would comment when i got these, and first impressions are very good. They sound great when you compare them to the price i payd vs other major manufacturers.
Well worth trying out if your looking to try something else.

The real test will be to see how long these things last before they start to sound a bit stale.

I reviewed a set for my blog and found out the company was right near me in Pennsylvania. I put a set of their steel strings on my P-bass. They were 45-105. Reminded me of D'addario Pro Steels. They did last almost a year, I usually change strings every 3-5 months. So for me they lasted longer.

Best strings Ive ever used, i use the Nickel strings on 4, 5, and 6 string basses. They outlast all else Ive tried, I think tonally the comparison to prosteels is adequate, I prefer the sparkle and quickness of nickel strings. Theyre similar to DRs in tension and and tone though i definitely prefer the DarkHorse strings. Best all around strings Ive used.

Just came across these strings. $45 a pack on their site for nickle with a tapered B string. Kinda pricey IMO but wouldnt mind giving them a try

I have the exposed core, stainless on my pbass and they sound and play awesome. Also have some going on my new custom bass that will ship soon which is long scale. They wrap up to 50" and will take specific instruction for scale length, exposed core length etc...
For me, they've been worth it
