The new X-Fi line is the successor to the Audigy 2 & 4 lines. The X-Fi line has evolved over the last year to include a bunch of midlevel solutions. When the X-Fi Elite came out with the launch of the new series, it was (and still is the flagship) card combo. It used to be $400, now about $250 which is fairly attractive to me now.
I'm in the market for some kind of DI because hooking right into the computer is noisy and just all around bad. My soundcard is fairly old so you do get the soundcard as well as the preamp box for that price. This is a very credible review done by a mainly computer site.
They are extremely knowledgeable and I DO trust the review, but I was wondering if anyone had any hands-on experience or has a comparison that they could draw.
