Anyone using two 212's?

I've been playing with an Avatar 410 and 212 setup for a while now and have been somewhat curious as to what it would sound like if I just went with two 212 cabinets instead? Has anyone messed around with this setup? Does it sound decent? I figure it would achieve a sound somewhere in between an 810 and a 215 (both of which I've had in the past)..

I'm using two 2x12 cabs. 600 watts each. I'm running them with a 1200 watts head or sometimes I run them stereo for looping stuff and stereo delays.

I have a G-B NeoX 212T and an Avatar 212 Neo that I occasionally put together thru my GBE600.
The NeoX 212T is my primary cab and covers 90% of what I need, but for outdoors it is fun to have both 212 cabs going. It sounds great with lots of headroom.
Old setup was a 210 and 115, the 12's do all that rig did and more.

I personally have been GAS'ing for a pair of those newer series Mesa 2 x 12's! I just haven't had a chance to "test drive" them.

And even if one of those 2 x 12's would be enough to "git 'er done", I want the pair for stacking purposes. That way, the sound'll be up closer to my ears instead of just flappin' the backs of my pants legs.:p

At one practice space I am using 2 homebuilt 1x12" cabs. loaded with EV's, no tweeter. they were designed as MIDS in a pa system. f3 of approx 150-180. not much bottom, but they'll take a little eqing, and they are LOUD. not a pleasing top end either. a little harsh.

overall, i wouldnt pay for them.

Mix 'n match does not work in the bass range. In the worse cases, it is a recipe for blown drivers.

I had these concerns when thinking about mixing the GB NeoX 212 and the Avatar B212 Neo.
Driving them both at the same time is something that I do rarely, keeping the Avatar primarily in a practice space where the RG's son can use it (he also has a GBE600 head). The NeoX212 goes to all the gigs.
When I have had them together they sound great and the GBE600 has no trouble pushing them.
If I did not have the NeoX 212 first I probably would have ordered 2 Avatars (for about the price of 1 NeoX). But the NeoX is a very potent cab, it continues to amaze me. This is not a slam on Avatar, they make a great product at a value price, but the GB NeoX 212 is the king.

I have a 2x12 and a 4x10. Either one would be plenty by itself, but I like to have them stacked so I can hear them better.

I've thought of adding another 2x12 . . . just because. Often the drummer wants me to turn up or turn one of my cabs toward him. The third cab could be for that. My head is good down to 2Ω, so I'll be fine with the three 8Ω cabs making a 2.67Ω load. Not many places I'd actually have room for a third cab, but you know, better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. And there's always the advantage of having speakers at two locations - home and practice place - so I don't have to cart as much gear back and forth.
