anything comparable to the POD XT?

So, I've noticed that the POD XT has been discontinued, or at least from most retailers I've checked at. I'm talking about the oval shaped, $300 model- as to eliminate any confusion.

I know I could get it used, but I'm wondering if there is anything comparable as far as amp and cab simulation.

I'm really only familiar with the Line 6 and am quite satisfied with the tone I can get, but wanted to hear about any others out there in the same price range that might be worth checking out.

thanks

A Behringer bass POD. Just be VERY careful as, like the Line 6 version, all of the jacks and pots are soldered directly to the main board so if you put too much stress on a control or jack(plugging in a jack wrong, pulling it at an angle, setting a Houston-sized phonebook on it) it CAN cause problems. Been there, got the T-shirt.

They work fine, just a different animal than Line 6 and a tiny bit more noise. Some Behringer patches are better than Line 6 IMO(I've got both Line 6 and Behringer).
