Apogee Control headphone outs

I can’t seem to find any info out there about this, so I’m hoping someone experienced with the Apogee Control software can help.

I intend to get an Element 24. With the included Control software, Apogee says you can configure the mic on your MacBook for talkback, thereby eliminating the need for another input. If that is possible, I’m wondering if the same can be done for outputs, specifically the headphone jack on the computer?

Possible? Anyone do it that way?

Thanks.

Its been a while since I've used Apogee Control (had an early Duet 2), so I won't be of much use for your original question, but was wondering what was the use case for this? My guess is that the headphone outs on the Element will be louder / sound better than an integrated headphone out on a computer. If you're in a different room from the interface and need a headphone, you'd probably be better served by having a monitor controller or something else that can MUX the main outs (e.g. Mackie Big Knob or similar).
