Are Edens any good?

my cousin gave me a free Eden 2X10 cabinet with no head cause the bassist from his old band moved out of state and left it at hise house cause my cousin plays drums
and my question is are the cabinets any good it oesnt have a head just the cabinet

It's probably a D-210 cabinet, I can't see anyone leaving a XLT or XST cabinet behind. Look on the back where the amp plugs into it, it'll say either 4 ohm or 8 ohm. Use an amp with the same ohm rating, you'll get maximum power without blowing the cabinet speakers or tweeter. I play through a Eden World Tour 800 with (2) 2-10 XST cabinets, I can drop things off the walls in my house :hyper: The wife loves it ! Gotta have some fun.

Came for the thread title, stayed for the "I got a free D210XLT cuz my cousin's bassist is lazy/rich/stupid."

As for your questions, David A Egeler answered most of them, but here you gon:
1.) No, the head/cabs don't need to be the same brand
2.) I'm not sure how to answer that question, but the ohms of your cabs can't be less than your head. The cab you got for free is probably an 8 ohm, so the 15" that you plan on buying should be an 8 ohm as well. I dunno the math on it, but it makes the total impedance to be 4 ohms, and you'll have a really hard time finding an amp that can't do 4 ohms :)
3.) Just hang out in the amps forum here and you'll learn nearly everything there is to learn about amps.

Feh!. That POS isn't even worth a box. I'm comming to get it so I can throw it out for you. We do favors like that for each other around here.:D

Nice score dude. There are many that will tell you, that is about as nice a 2x10 as you can get.

i had 2 210 cabs from eden, one of which i bought in 1994 when they first made it on the market.

do u have the one with bottom holes only? or top and bottom ports ? i prefer the bottom hole one over the top and bottom port one...

but yeh eden is great, and they were the best beside swr back in the day.

then i got into bergantino , madison , and schroeder. all great cabs.

with my band 210 wont cut it. only for practice at home i need 2x 410 cabs or larger ( 610 ) and a few of them to keep up with my guitar player volume wise.
