Tilting really doesn't accomplish much. 10" speakers don't beam as badly as 15"s, only frequency range you gain by tilting is some clicks and pops. It helps a lot more to elevate the cab and get it close to your torso. That way you get more feel without blowing everyone else away.

??? Of course tilting it back accomplishes a lot. It ain't just the clicks and pops blowing past your ears but the mids.

Downunderwonder I see the Carvin MB210 but at 250w I'm looking for something stronger.

You have to go high end to get 2x10 that does much more than 250W before farting out. I'm a bit biased because my own 250W amp is a real 180W with at least 360w peak into 8 ohm and my SWR JR 2x10 looks sideways at it begging not to be beaten up. It still does a good job on smaller gigs and monitor.

I wonder why the micro VR isnt doing it for you? I'd get another 210AV and a wee dolly and strap it all together. Otherwise I'd be looking at 2x12 combo from Genz, expensive though!

Good combo. A 2x10 cab is what it is, so you can't expect to play huge gigs with it. But if you have FOH support, for example, it would be great (excellent DI) - and obviously it's completely sufficient for smaller gigs.

That 6.0 head is both detachable and very powerful, by the way, so you can take it off and easily use it with larger cabs if you'd like - I've done that many times.

It also has tilt-back legs - although that's not good for putting your beer on it ...

Dont invest too much time/money in a 210 combo more powerful than that... The speakers will be limited mechanically and the extra power isnt going to do much for you.

Even better than a 2x10 stacked vertically is a cab that is can wedge itself upwards. I have the GK NEO 2x10 - unfortunately it is discontinued. It can tilt back to point directly at your ears - a much more efficient way of hearing yourself. A 2x10 stacked vertically at close range will still shoot towards your knees or hips at best.

That's gorgeous! Played through a bass art with a 4x10 years ago. Really liked it. But too heavy for my current needs.

I know it isnt a combo, but Schroeder has 2x12s in all kinds of configurations. There are ways to go without a preamp and just buy a cab and power amp and some other things to give you a solid 1000watts. (I'd recommend 4ohm cabs and no bridging or chaining; simple.)

Ampeg had one. It even had a spring loaded handle on the bottom that doubled as a tilt. Unfortunately, it is Discontinued and a bit rare finding a used one.

I would like to see one.

Advantages:
Tilting would be more effective. My ears are not on my ankles.
Picking it up would be easier as I wouldn't have to bend down as far.
It could stack on a vertical 2x10 expansion cab for a linear 4x10 rig.
Smaller stage footprint than a horizontal 2x10.
More convenient height for setting a beer on top of it (just kidding).

Disadvantages:
Can't think of any.
