Are these genuine Eden loudspeakers?

Hi everyone

Pal of mine (polish bass forum pal, actually; I ask in his name, because he does not speak english) bought recently used Eden XLT210. He is not sure, if these are genuine loudspeakers or not:

My Eden 210XLT has blue-tinted cones with black dust covers and surrounds. These have black cones, and no labels over the magnets on the back. I am very skeptical as well. But then again, this just might be a very old cab, and recent productions give Eden cones a blue tint.

Eden speakers *normaly* have a hand written model# and ohm rating marked on them.
I would be skeptical of those drivers being Eden.

Come to think of it, all the Eden drivers that I have use a *spade* style terminal post for the speaker connections.

Even better, are those screws holding the speakers in mismatched?

apparently there are 8 hole for each speakers; How many is there in genuine Eden? I see 4 at website, perhaps there are other versions?
Besides, there are 4 t-nuts, from back, but 8 holes in speaker.

Are you the original owner and how old is your cab?



Unfortunately I'm not the original owner so it's difficult to determine its age. I've bought this cab in second-hand shop and salesman couldn't tell its age too. If only it could be helpful, here's the cab's serial no: 29916


Those are not the original speaker. We no longer make the speakers that go in that cab. You can have the baskets you have reconed however. Where are you located,?

Eden no longer makes the XLT drivers? That doesn't sound right at all..... The XLT cabinets are probably their biggest seller.

How does it sound? If it sounds good, you may want to keep it as is....
