Are Washburn basses worth it?

I don’t know a lot about Washburn basses, but you might have to provide a little more detail to get useful information about them, such as a model of Washburn bass & price, or the characteristics of the bass you would like to have.

You usually get fairly worthless info when you ask if a variety of basses by one company are worth “it”. You kinda need to assign something to “it”, like a dollar amount or another bass to compare to a Washburn. A quick internet search shows (used) Washburn basses priced from $169 to almost $1000. At which end of that range are you looking?

At least identify what style, pickup type, price range, weight, or something you are after in a bass.

Just any at a price point that's not over $650(I'm a high school student btw), overall, anything is fine.

I just want to know about Washburn basses...

Washburn doesn't exactly bring to mind super exciting axes but...back in the 80's when I first started playing I had a no name,budget, korean short scale and when i finally upgraded to a "real bass" I got a Washburn B-2. Heavy,plywood body, too wide at the nut and thin sounding pickups. To me though, it was excalibe. I eventually put in some EMG's and installed a through body bridge, and some schaller tuners and after 40 years I still have it (alongside my Fenders and Jackson).It really is a good bass, it's very nice looking, sounds punchy and I shan't ever part with it,however if there were as many options back then as there are now, I would have chosen something different.
