Are You a Turtle?

You bet your sweet ass I am. And here are the four questions:

What is it on a man that is round, hard and sticks so far out of his pajamas you can hang a hat on it?

What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three lets?

What is a four-letter word ending in "k" that means the same as intercourse?

What is it that a cow has four of and a woman has only two of?

LOL. I wondered what the questions were. Let's not be vulgar now, LMAO.

btw, I'm from SC. I dunno if it's more popular here than other places, or not. I have some friends in Australia. I thought about asking them and see what they say.

The Wikipedia article didn't say if the fighter pilots were American or mixed nationalities (I don't think it did?), so I dunno how well-known the Turtles are worldwide.

Fairly well, methinks...

When I was in high school, I was president of a local Explorers'
Post dedicated to broadcasting. We met at an AM radio station
after it went off the air for the day at dusk. We would do all
kinds of stuff: operate the equipment, make commercials and
whatever just to learn about broadcasting. A DJ from that
station worked with us and it was he who introduced me to
"Turtles."

One snowy day when school was closed and he was doing his
morning show on the air and taking calls, I called him on the
air and asked, "Are you a turtle?"

Of course, you know, if someone asks you, you have to give
the correct response.

He responded, "You be your sweet derrière I am!"

So, I have to confess that I got that line from him. :smug:

Cool. See, no vulgarity.

Where I'm from "turtle" is a hockey term for a guy who's in a fight who hunches over on the ice in a turtle pose in order not to get hit in the face. It's generally frowned upon in the hockey community as a cowardly thing to do. If you're not a fighter, then you do your best to stay out of fights, but if you're inclined to drop the gloves once in a while, then you man up and go for it. I was never a good fighter in my hockey playing days, but I'm proud to say I never turtled. So, no, I'm not a turtle!

Now you are!

My Mom is a Turtle. She made a joke of it when we were kids. That was the ONLY time I ever heard her swear (if a** is a swear word) when I was young. So my brother and I would ask her all the time if she was a turtle. And she would answer appropriately. The funny thing is we were born in SC, but moved to TX shortly after, and everyone looked at her like she was crazy. Good times. Thanks for the memories

Yer welcome, pal.;) That is a nice story.

You bet your sweet @$$ I am.

His head.

What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three lets?

Shake hands.

What is a four-letter word ending in "k" that means the same as intercourse?

Talk.

What is it that a cow has four of and a woman has only two of?

Legs.

Wow. This makes me feel really old.

Not trying to hijac the thread but similar to the concept is the Buffalo club I joined a few years back in highschool.

Ive heard several ways to join the buffalo club, Some people say it costs you a dollar, some say it costs you a drink or w/e. But you pay up and then the person fills you in on the buffalo club.
Simple rule is this If you are part of the buffalo club you can only drink with your left hand(Ive had long discussions with people about leftys and should they have to use their right hand lol)
if another person from the buffalo club catches you drinking with your wrong hand and calls buffalo you have to finish your drink right then. no matter what is in it. works for everything and not just alcohol. If they hade a bad angle and you were actually drinking with the correct hand then they have to finish theirs.
Once I was talking on the phone to a buddy of mine drinking a beer and paused to take a sip. He heard something and called out buffalo, I replied you son of a b****. Finished my beer and went on my way.
Because of this though I have actually completely changed my predominant drinking hand lol. I drink only with my left now without even thinking about it.
Sorry for the semi thread jacking but the turtle story reminded me of this as I joined the buffalo club over a decade ago.....yikes time flies.

Heh, heh, cool story. It reminds me of that club on the Jackie Gleason show that Ralph and Norton joined.:D

You bet your sweet ass I am, my father was one, and he was a card carrying member. The 4 questions for membership were printed on the back of the card. And of course the answers given above by Tat2dHeart were correct. :)
I've scanned it in and posted it here for historical reasons.
Thanks for the blast from the past, I had think hard for the proper response. LOL
Dirk

Edit:
I have the card and have scanned it in and posted it here, it's not in great shape as he's had it in his wallet since the 60's.
He told me he thought the club was created by some Female Phys. Ed. teachers in East Stroudsburg, PA, can anyone validate that?

And here it is in all it's wonderment.
