Hoping I won't regret this, but here goes.

Made in Japan, 1984 Aria Pro II RSB deluxe. Metallic candy apple red, in beautiful condition. Set up very well and sounds great.

All original passive electronics. Controls are; Volume, “Boost Switch”, Tone. Boost on it sounds sort of like a really meaty Precision, boost off it has a little bit more treble and a slightly flatter mid.

I love this bass, but I need to clear some space in my collection. On that pinnacle of measuring devices, the bathroom scale, it weighed in at 8.2 lbs, making it fairly light. It also balances really well, so weight shouldn't concern you. The nut width is 1 and 9/16 inches, or 40mm and the neck profile is a medium/flat C. It is a very comfortable instrument to play.

Being an 80s Matsumoku built Aria, the build quality is fantastic. The bridge is solid brass giving it plenty of sustain. The neck is very stable with a functioning truss rod and no twists or any other issues. The paint finish is one of the most beautiful I've seen on any instrument, a gorgeous color. The only blemishes are a little bit of dinging in the slot to adjust the truss rod (pictured), and a little tiny chip on the bass side of the fretboard just below the second fret (also pictured). The dings in the truss rod cutout are only noticeable if you look into the slot, and I have never noticed the chip while playing or holding the bass. It is in really great condition.

Asking 430 USD, buyer pays shipping. Comes with a generic hard shell case that fits it like a glove.

I should also have a custom built, super light, fretless 5 string up for sale in the next couple days as well.

    Thanks for looking!

  5. Nice! I'm in Ottawa, so probably a little far to do LPU, but Shipping would be nice and affordable. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll find some quotes for you.
