Aria STB JB vs SX Jazzes

Does anyone have enough experience of both of these to compare? I want a budget jazz bass with decent fundamental construction that I can upgrade the electronics. I want the wood, paintwork and fretwork to be sound. The SX works out at about $70 more expensive for me.
