Ashdown ABM / footswitch ?

Hi,

I just bought an Ashdown ABM 210 evo III combo, and I urgently need a footswitch to control mute/drive/eq/sub.

I know Ashdown makes its own footswitches, but they're really hard to find by here in France and quite expensive. So does any ABM user know if any 4 way footswitch can be used with this head ?

For example, i found this one that seems sturdy but is still quite cheap :

Will it fully work (so I'll only have to rewrite the labels) ?

Thanks !

Thanks both for your answers :)

jim_bass > ashdown seems out of stock on many things for France, including these footswitches : that's by the way why, with some price concerns, I bought my amp in england and not in my town music shop (I already waited 2 months with them ; when I decided finally to buy in england, I received my package 3 days later, and the price was 25% cheaper)... Unfortunately, this e-shop doesn't sell the fs I want and seems unable to answer me.

More than this, some footswitches in other brand are 50% to 250% cheaper - that's tempting, insn't it ?

Maybe I should also simply go once again to the shop in my area to test if it works with any fs ; but I guess they won't be that happy to see me here with a brand new amp they finally didn't sell... Although I don't really like these sellers for they're kind of false people, I don't want to spoil my relationships so directly and more than it is : it's a little city (and music world) I live in...

teedub > My combo is on an ABM 500 evo III head, and there is only one fs input (unlike the 900 model), under which is written "Footswitch / Ashdown 4 way"... what kind of fs do you use on your side ?

Sounds like you may be stuck with having to use the Ashdown 4 way switch then, unless you can find a similar "mono" 4 way switch. I was thinking that it would have been triggered by two stereo outs (like the EVOIII Rackmount Pre), but it looks as though it's controlled by one mono signal, probably switched from inside the amp.

Je suis désolé que je n'aie pas de meilleures nouvelles pour vous. :(

Well, that's what I "feared", but all in all it's not a very big deal.

Merci pour le français ! :)

i couldn't find the appropriate foot switch for my abm 500 evo II (which doesn't use the 4 way switch, it actually requires two separate 2 way switches for full functionality) here in the states... ashdown wasn't carrying them at the time. ultimately i kept an eye on ebay and was able to snag one within a week or so at a pretty decent price. i've since realized that i never even switch any of the settings on or off... oh well.

Anrchyok > That's probably what I'll do unless I find another opportunity, but I guess it may be a long waiting... !

Teedub > Pas de problème, c'est tout à fait compréhensible et c'est ce qu'il y a de plus important : je salue l'effort ! ;)

ishouldbeking > I tried to see on ebay but unfortunately didn't find anything, at least in my area... On my side, I really think I'll be using a fs for drive/eq and comp (in fact, I'll leave all of my pedals to play with the simpliest setup I can : amp/fs/cable, all I need for rock !).
