Ashdown chorus plus...ANYONE?

Jesusmonkeychrist.

I've been looking for reviews on this thing since may about twice a week, and every time I come up with little or no info. Harmony central, a few different forums, musiciansfriend, zzounds. So I figured I'd be the annoying newish guy and post a forum thread.

To whoever has this thing:

1. How's it sound? Is it really shimmery and spacious, or confined and a little detuned? Were your first impressions of the tone dark or bright? (of course, that depends on which pickup your using, and your onboard tone controls too.)

2. Does it have a great range on the speed? Can you get that seasick superfast vibrato warble as well as a smooth, slow flange?

3. What exactly does the 'plus' part of the pedal do? I imagine the flange is simply more of the slow chorus I described above. But what the heck is with the 'delay?'

I ask because I finally gave up and went with a Boss CE-20. Sure, I like it, but the only setting I really use is the CE-1. If I had 300 bucks to drop, I'd buy a vintage CE-1...but I don't. This is only 130, has plenty of promise in its features, and if looks alone were anything to judge by...*drool*

If you know of a review and could post a link, or have the pedal and could answer some of my questions, I'd be eternally grateful.

None of the stores seem to have them in stock.

I went to Bass Northwest here is Seattle and they had all of the Ashdown pedals except for the Chorus which had not come in.

I tried the EMS Unichorus pedal which BassNW recommends and it was very good. I am waiting to try the TC Stereo Chorus pedal before I make my choice.

Well it has delay because chorus and flange are essentially short delay effects. (really really short.)

The delay effect is the same as a longer chorus effect without modulation. (correct me if im wrong)

A chorus with depth knob at "0" is suppose to give you a REALLY short delay sound. (less than 50ms)

andd a flanger with resonation bottomed out is essentially a chorus. Right?

alright.

This is a late response on this thread, but this pedal is utter garbage. I bought one for the convenience of having chorus and flange in one pedal but all I get from it is a loud hum, even when I'm not playing! Pass on this POS.
