been looking at this.. and can't find opinions with the search menu.. so has anyone got their new pedals I like the sub myself
The Subharmonic on the old ABM Klystrom range was surprisingly good. I assume all Ashdown pedals are made in China? I'm pretty keen for a try on the Triple Shot OD and the Guy Pratt Compressor.
I have an OC2 and an ashdown ABM head. I cannot tell a difference between the two octaves. so I would bet this pedal is pulled from the ABM amp, and would be a great OC2 alternative.
I got a broke oc-2 somewhere.. I should prolly get it fixed.. lol.. I like the ashdown for just the simplicity.. if I find a deal later on.. I'll pick one up.. it should fit in with the digitech synth wah.. and the dod fx25.. dod meat box.. still need a blue box.. and brassmaster..
Well it’s arrived Good news - sounds great a really like it and with the Wounded Paw Battering Ram fuzz after it .....well it’s a righteous tone Bad news- the Pedal adds hum to the circuit. So I will send it back. Active or Passive Bass same deal. Annoying
So through the Ashdown Klystrom 400 front =hum or like tone pot maxed hiss Through the effects loop of the Ashdown CTM-300 no signal noise. Same through the front of the “low input” Beyond my comprehension how such things (or not) happen. Anyway tonight’s chore is to play around with the pedal board sequence
No question the SubHarmonic Pedal works “better” through the Effects Loop of both the ABM and CTM I think it prefers Passive rather than Active instruments. Like a lot of Ashdown gear it’s a bit quirky but I like it.
