Ashdown experts: Any info on this combo??

Found a Good deal on a used MAG-C410T-200 combo. According to the back of the power section it is made in England, the serial # is 0746-09-99. Does the "99" signify the year?

Any Info on this Amp would be very helpful as I have searched this forum, Harmonycentral and the intraweb for the last 3 hours and found nothing on this particular model. I was wondering if this would push the new ashdown 115 cab, and just wether it was any good in general? It sounded good in the shop but the top right speaker farted a bit with the bass frequency turned up and the volume up pretty good. Can 1 driver be replaced with a "blueline"?

Anybody have any experience with this unit???

afaik, there's currently no MAGc410t in 200W, only 300W (307RMS), so that might be why you can't find info on it. i also can't find ANY 200W bass amp on ashdown's official site (not even under discontinued products).

i have a MAG C410T 300W and it's pretty powerful by itself, but paired up with a 300W eminence 15" it's extremely loud (unless your guitard play with stacks and your drummer's more powerful than a Mack truck). i've never had any problems with it that weren't my fault (just separating the head and cab and making crappy enclosures for them- i lack woodworking tools).

if the serial # is even remotely like how i think it's set up, that should mean it's the 746th amp of the year 1999, and it was made in september. but that's just a guess.

is it one of these in combo form?

They are just black speakers, I am assuming pre-blueline. had that nice warm sound though and you could get a good growl out of it with an sr700. Other than the top right one farting a bit at really high volume. I think you may be on to something with the serial #, at least it makes sense to me.....

yea those are pre-blueline. i would just replace them with something like a standard eminence 10", as the bluelines sound a bit crisper and less middy than any normal paper 10"s i've played through. it's probably not noticeable, but i'm nit-picky like that.

For my purposes (pretty new player, basement jamming with my wife and friends) it probably wouldn't make a difference. I suppose that as long as the impedence is correct it should be o.k. to replace the one speaker with anything in the same wattage ballpark?

This combo is selling for $480 (canada) which is about what an o.k. 100watt 12 combo goes for around here. seems a descent deal?

btw thanks for all your help! I am new to this forum and it is the best one i have ever been on for people being friendly!
