So here I am again...with another amp idea! :)

I've seen this head called Little Giant... of course I haven't noticed the green one,but the mega-brutal orange one..muhaha! :D It is rated 1000 w and weighs about 4 pound. :) So I think the head is the one for me... Btw does some of you own one of this head? Maybe you can drop a line or two about it...

And the cab: Because the country where I live is short on great high powered bass amplifiers I've looked at some Ashdown again. Especially a 4x8" Klystron. Hmmm what do you think would it be great with this little beasty amp? :)

Me and the band are playing hard rock kind of music, but I've got a small car,and have to transport my gear by myself. So That's why is the size, and the power ratio so important to me.

I know MarkBass has great stuff, but I've tried contacting the distributor, and they haven't answered at all...so all of my other ideas and options are off...

Thank you for your attention and kindness for replying!
Bye and have a nice day! :)

Just beware that the Little Giant isn't really 1000w, but 2x500w, and not bridgeable. If it were bridgeable I would be all over it.

With one 4x8 cab you will be using one side of the amp only.

I would rather go for a couple of 2x10 ABM cabs, the whole Klystron range seems way overpriced to me. Not that I have any experience with it, mind you. :) Just my $0.02

I'd be interested in knowing how the Little Giant heads sound with the Superfly lightweight cabs, especially the 15". I just read on their site that Ashdown will be manufacturing some of their equipment including the cabs in their new U.S.A. factory in Kentucky so the price should be coming down on those. Looking forward to hearing about what they offer this year at the Summer NAMM.

Yeah and that 500 watts is at 4 ohms. Methinks the Little Giant is just a repackaged Superfly with knobs instead of buttons (marketing ploy for a poor selling product?). I also understand from Ashdown that it isn't being produced for resale in shops until July.

I really want a more powerful head than my current ABM, but want it lighter too which I think means Markbass LMII, Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 or Aguilar AG500SC as I don't think the Little Giant can cut it in it's 500w x 2 @ 4ohm format (8ohm would be a different prospect).

I'm never sure what the diffrence is between The Klystron and ABM other than packaging, weight and price.
