    Hello everyone,

I bought this amp a while ago and everything was working fine until recently. When i plug in my active pickup bass, the output goes lower and lower the more i play. Strangely, if i play with my passive pickup bass the sound is equal the whole time.

I tried out the active bass on other amps and it works fine.

Have you checked the battery on your active bass?

    Batteries are fine

  4. Just to be sure. How did you check the batteries?
Removing them and checking with a voltmeter is not a valid test.
You need to measure voltage under load. Kind of hard to do while playing.
    Also, what type of batteries?
I assume you use a quality brand alkaline rather than something from the bargain bin or a rechargeable?

    Yes, with a voltmeter :D
Current batteries are Fujitsu Zinc Carbon - more on the budget side. Do you think changing them with alkalines would help?

Change the battery, use an alkaline type. I bet your problem goes away.

Yeah somehow he have them in stores here in Croatia, they were cheap - 15 croatian kunas each, around 2.30 USD. I bought 4. The first 2 were empty after a month and half, the other 2 were a bit more durable but not consistent.

  13. The Duracell batteries in my active basses have been in there for years. I check them every time I change the batteries in my smoke alarms. :)
