Ashdown Mags, any good?

I checked out the 600 watt head with a 4x10 and 1x15, sounded great. I've never owned or used Ashdowns before, how do the Mags holdup? They are pretty cheap, is that because they are crap or just a good deal? I'm considering buying this rig but I would like to hear from owners.

I have an older British made combo and a more recent Chinese head and they've both performed without issues for years.

My MAG300 has been great. The only problem I've had is a blown fuse. I bought a GK to replace it for more power, but I kept the Ashdown and did this:

I have the mag300 and it suits my needs, and I quite enjoy the tones I can get out of it. EQ off, neck pup solo'd, full tone, its gorgeous.

I used to own a Mag300, and an Ashdown Mag410 cab. I still have an Ashdown EB 12-180 combo.

I like the Ashdown gear, and have been very happy with it all.

i have the MAG 1x15 300watt combo
and an MAG 800watt 8x10
they are brilliant, the 8x10 is great
i had a problem with the combo the speaker was blown but this was probably due to playing on full at a gig not soon after i got it, i replaced it with a 500watt eminence
they beat other amps at the pricerange
go for it, although if you have enouth cash for a compleate MAG stack, then you probably have enouth cash for an ABM combo, which will be overall better quality

I have the MAG-300 that I use with an Avatar 210 Delta and 112 Neo. I think the MAG-300 is a great amp for the price. I'd have to be making alot more playing gigs to consider spending more and my current rig sounds great and has proven reliable so far. Also, I don't worry about hauling this gear into clubs and bars through less than perfect weather, etc., since it didn't cost thousands. Just my thoughts.

They are good amps, and probably one of the very best values in that price range.

Though, after one year of normal use, my MAG300R (made in China) lost its bulb (ya know, the bulb in the VU meter blew). One year later, the preamp started sending some strange signals (sounded like a speaker was farting, but that came from the preamp and the speaker was wroking normally).

But as long as it worked normally, it sounded great.

I have the Mag 600R running through an ABM410t and am very happy. Sounds good and is plenty loud enough for the gigs I am doing, even though I am only using half of it @ 8Ohms.
