Ashdown Rootmaster RM 500 EVO II

Looking to up my amp game with the Ashdown RM 500 EVO II head but not sure whether to pair it with a 1x15” and a 2x10” setup or go with the single 4x10” cab.
There seems to be little mention here on Ashdown stuff (at least in the past few months, which covered the 8 or so pages I went back in the search...) so I wanted to see if anyone had any advice to give...

I have an original EVO 800 I've used some. Ashdown has an odd but useful set of features in that amp. I've used it with 2x10, 4x10, and 2x12 with no issues. It also didn't sound bad with DB.
I just really like the sound I’ve heard on the few reviews I’ve watched. Granted, YouTube is hardly the best way to A/B compare things like amps, but even in Atlanta, there’s nowhere I know of locally to get a hands on test.

I used the RM 500 with a 2-210 and a 2-410 (Ashdown RM EVOs) set up. I like using 2 210s over 1 410. Brings the speakers up closer to your ear. I'm probably going to stick with a 2 210 set up going forward and get rid of my 2 410s. I'm selling a pair of Ashdown RM EVO 210 cabs currently.

I’m gonna have to pump the brakes on buying anything right now... walked into work this morning and got the news that we’re being shut down in 60 days... I’ve been here just shy of 16 years. Heck of a way to get the work week started, but I’m pretty confident I can find something else soon enough. I was looking for a job when I found this one...

Sorry to hear that. Good luck!

Thanks! Fortunately I have a few local contacts that should get me back into the game quickly enough. I saw your listing and if things settle down soon and the cabs are still available I plan to take one of them off your hands. Do you have an estimate on what shipping to Atlanta would cost? If you’re in Texas I would imagine it’d be around $50 or so, depending on who you use.
