I have been using an Ashley BP41 for years and it works great my question is can it be run in the Full range Mode as I am changing things up a bit and always run it Bi-Amped before ?

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread - The "Stage Amp" output I believe is a 1/4" out. Is this the best connection to a power amp? Or can I use the XLR out form the unit and drive a power amp? I will be using a QSC PLX 1602.
After reading it, it looks like I can set the XLR to Mic or Line level. I wanted to do the XLR to avoid tone loss and have something that at least locks in place. Hopefully I got that right. Thanks for posting the manual, I had forgotten what I had read a few weeks ago.
I doubt if you'll have any tone loss when using the 1/4" out. Don't tie up the DI feeding a power amp as it's intended to send a balanced signal to the board. Speaking from experience as I had one several years ago.

Understood. I will use the 1/4" out. I have a short Mogami cord for something like this.
Good call. Don't make it any harder than it has to be. BTW: nice preamp! Kinda reminds me of the Yamaha pre in terms of function & layout. Not sure why; maybe it's the para EQ.

It's an awesome preamp. I got a chance to hook it up to a PA system and actually listen to the direct out on it, sounding amazing clean with plenty of punchy/warm midrange content. Every clean sound I could imagine is in that preamp. Still don't have a cabinet or a power amp to use with it, but that will change....
I may have asked the wrong question I diden`t want to use the direct out for that but either the Hi or Low output on the back of the unit and all the other fuctions still work as they should and use the low out and set the x-over in such I don`t know if that would work I`m running into an Acoustic 8X10 cab from a Crown XLS 1000 and I also have another 8X10 and get another XLS and run them both if not I`ll be looking at an OHM problem as all the 8X10`s run a 4 ohm program and I don`t want to run short on power then there is having to move all that gear most power amps run either 4 or 8 ohms depending on the set up you either get to much or not enough.
Let me get back to you. You'll be able to run the "stage out" 1/4" to the "Link/Out" on the power amp which is capable of running the XLS in bridged mono to feed a 4 ohm enclosure...or you can use just one channel. Need to add another power amp & 810? Run a daisy chain from the primary amp's "Link/Out" on channel 2 to the secondary power amp' channel 1 "Link/Out".
Edit: you'll be running everything full-range which is desirable. Depending on the cabs, you may want to trial the XLS's 50 hz HPF.

That was what I was thinking but the BP41 only has a Hi and Low for the X-over I know I can get 4ohms Bridged out of the XLS1000 but it`s putting out 1150 watts if I added another XLS1000 into my other 8X10 which is rated at 4 ohms also I could keep the power level down and use the X-over on the BP41 what do you think ?
Not sure why you're using the crossover. From what I can tell, they're full-range cabinets...use them as such. No sense in trying to biamp two 810 enclosures.
For that fact, where do you plan on using two 810 enclosures simultaneously?

After close inspection and pulling the unit from it`s rack much to my surprise it had a stage output and switch to run it in Full Range mode or X-over mode so there is much to be said for the old adage if you don`t know ask someone and the fact you don`t have an owners guide. Much Thanks to those who helped me out, Great Site !!!
It has serviced me well Live and in the Studio hope it keeps on Kickin I Love It some of the best money I`ve spent on gear !!!
