Audere pre in a modulus vj

I have a Modulus VJ with passive barts and standard passive electronics. It also has the all graphite neck modulus is famous for. I was wondering if an audere preamp, Likely a standard 2 or 3 band eq WITHOUT the passive tone knob, would be a good fit.

Any opinions are welcome. I want to know what you guys think.

What are your goals? i.e. Why are you wanting to change the electronics setup that the bass has?

Knowing that will help people answer.

I am just looking for more tone options. Mostly I want to be able to still get something similar to a classic jazz sound (as close as I can get with a graphite neck and active eq) as well as many other options as this is my only bass.
